SWISS Borg Lab (swissborg.si) is a small, independent, self-funded research group working on synthetic biology and artificial life. Not a company; not affiliated with any bank, fund or platform of a similar name. No papers are published yet; the group is currently writing up its first work.

## Research interests

- Minimal genomes: how much of a genome is actually load-bearing
- Artificial life: simple digital and biological systems that behave like life
- Biosafety: containment strategies that hold up under selection pressure
